Our lawful bases for the collection and use of your data

Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information to provide services and goods are:

  • Contract – we have to collect or use the information so we can enter into or carry out a contract with you. All of your data protection rights may apply except the right to object.

Our lawful bases for collecting or using personal information for service updates or marketing purposes are:

  • Legitimate interests – we’re collecting or using your information because it benefits you, our organisation or someone else, without causing an undue risk of harm to anyone. All of your data protection rights may apply, except the right to portability. Our legitimate interests are:

    • We collect names and email addresses from people who sign up to receive a regular newsletter from House of Burlesque, either via the House of Burlesque website or by opting in whilst buying tickets. These email addresses are only used for this purpose.

    • We colecta phone numbers from people who opt in to receiving updates via WhatsApp or opt in to being added to a WhatsApp Group.

How long we keep information

The only data stored by House of Burlesque are the phone numbers and email addresses that have been shared with us in order to provide regular updates or information via email or WhatsApp. These are digital records only.

Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time via the link included in each email sent. 

Members of WhatsApp groups or recipients of WhatsApp communications can request to stop this communication at any time. Held phone numbers will be deleted within one month of the request being made. 


Who we share information with

Data processors

Design My Night

This data processor does the following activities for us: They provide a ticket booking and management service for House of Burlesque performances. 

Design My Night is our main ticketing provider. We also occasionally sell allocations of tickets via other established ticket booking and guest management services, including but not limited to Dice and Get Your Guide.

Squarespace

These data processors do the following activities for us: Squarespace process purchases made via the House of Burlesque website, for some House of Burlesque Academy products.
