SPRING BURLESQUE WORKSHOPs:

A series of evening workshops in all things burlesque

Mon 9th February 7-9pm - Chair Dancing:

A playful, confidence-boosting chair dance workshop that blends sultry movement, strength and sass to help you own the room from the seat up. Heels welcome (optional). Level: All Levels.

Weds 25th February 7-9pm - Fan Dancing:

A glamorous feather fan dancing workshop that teaches elegant technique and flirtatious choreography while building confidence, presence and irresistible stage power. We have fans to borrow but you’re welcome to bring your own. Heels welcome (optional) Level: Beginners to Intermediate.

Mon 2nd March 7-9pm - Comedy and Storytelling:

Explore how to use comedy, character and storytelling to turn your burlesque into a memorable, laugh-out-loud narrative with real emotional punch. Please a pair of long gloves. Level: Intermediate.

Weds 18th March 7-9pm - Stocking Striptease:

A classic, confidence-boosting stocking striptease workshop that teaches strong technique, smooth transitions and timeless burlesque glamour. Please bring a pair of stockings (not fishnets) or hold ups, a suspender belt and heels you can slip off easily. Level: Intermediate.

Each Session is 2 hours including breaks. Heels welcome in all sessions (optional)

High heels - please choose a height that you can move easily in with a medium to slim heel - no pole dancing, high platform shoes or wedges please. ALL GUESTS will be asked to sign in each week. Please note you will be allowed on site a max of 10 minutes before class start time. 

About Tempest Rose: UK Burlesque royalty, Tempest has headlined the UK's most celebrated cabaret stages - Cafe de Paris, The Hippodrome, Underbelly, Christmas in Leicester Square and Madame Jojo's. She has toured No1 theatres across the UK such as Newcastle Theatre Royal, Southampton Mayflower, Theatre Royal Glasgow and New Theatre Cardiff, and headlined in The Bridge, The Albany and the Charing Cross Theatre, London. Her career has taken her overseas to perform in India , Rome, Amsterdam, Paris and Milan all the way to The Slipper Room in New York and for The Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas - two of the birth places of the modern burlesque revival. Tempest has appeared as a burlesque artist and expert on MTV, BBC3, BBC Ideas, ITV2, Channel 4, London Live as well as been featured on BBC1's Heir Hunters taking about the history of The Windmill in Soho and fandancing. She has been interviewed and featured in all major press and has performed for the Royal Navy, Google UK and the Courtauld Gallery.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: All workshop, class and course purchases once made are non-refundable, in rare cases we made be able transfer course or class places so please do get in touch if you no longer can make the date booked and we will advise . Please check the date on your booking confirmation carefully, date mistakes cannot be rectified after the date listed has passed. 

Clean Break’s Studio is on Patshull Road, Kentish Town and can be found down the alley on the right hand side of Patshull Road immediately behind the Job Centre - this is the first right from the Kentish Town Road end 4 mins walk from Kentish Town Tube station. Please ring the buzzer for entry. Please arrive no earlier than 10 mins before class.

All participants must ensure that they have no current medical conditions or existing injuries which would prohibit them from taking part in the session. Any person who participates in House of Burlesque Ltd Classes shall do so at their own risk. By attending class, you are certifying that you are in good health.
