APPLY TO PERFORM AT BURLESQUE IDOL
Burlesque Idol Applicants
Want to perform at one of the most prestigious cabaret venues in the UK?
Have your work seen by some of the top producers and performers in the Industry?
Have an opportunity to win great prizes and take your career to the next level?
Apply to become a Burlesque Idol contestant... London’s fasting growing Burlesque phenomenon.
On the last Friday of every month the hit show Burlesque Idol comes to Madame Jojos in Soho and you could be one of our contestants. To enter all you need
is a finished burlesque routine of any style between 3.5 – 5 minutes long. Burlesque Idol is ideally suited to those with a few shows under their belts already who
want to boost their performer profile rather then absolute newcomers (although if you have considerable performance experience in another discipline we are happy to hear
from you).
Unlike other shows there is no onstage critique by our Judging Panel who are there to offer advice and also guidance for the audience. The winner is voted
for by the audience (75%) and the judges (25%).
The winner of each month receives a selection of prizes and a place in our Grand Final in November.
Winners of Burlesqie Idol so far: 2010 Beau Burlington, 2011 Jolie Papillon
This year so far 2012: The Velveteen Showgirls
To enter: Please email tempest@houseofburlesque.co.uk detailing your experience, full details of the
act you want to submit and including any photos, footage links and availability
But don’t just take our word for it, here’s what Miss Aurora Galore, Winner Jan 2011, had to say:
'My experience at Burlesque Idol was a really positive one. Despite the obvious factor that I won; I really found it to be a welcoming and
gratifying experience. I would recommend applying to Burlesque Idol for anyone who is new to Burlesque, wanting to show off their talents or anyone
who wants to have some fun with their best supporters. The prizes are worth competing for, however if you do not win, you will walk away with a great night and some
fabulous new friends.'
