Producer Tempest Rose - Director of HOB
Burlesque Showgirl Tempest Rose is one of the most exciting and multi-skilled burlesque artists in the world, specialising in entertaining, theatrical style Burlesque which harks back to the golden age of stars like Gypsy Rose Lee and Mae West.
Las Vegas to Rome, BBC to Channel 4, Tempest Rose has been honoured to grace the stages of some of Burlesque’s most celebrated events including the Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend in Las Vegas. Other selected credits include three West End runs; appearances on Channel 4, MTV, BBC 3, ITV 2, The BBC Radio 2 Arts Show and performing at corporate and private events including for The Royal Navy at HMS Raleigh. Tempest has produced a UK theatre tour with HOB Shipwrecked, productions at some of the UK's top burlesque clubs and is the artistic director for HOB at London Wonderground which is in it's sell-out, multi-five star winning 3rd year.
Jillian George-Lewis aka Delores Deluxe
One of the longest established performers, producers and promoters on the London burlesque and cabaret scene. Jillian came from a 10 year acting career and moved into the word of cabaret in 2005. She was founder and leader of London’s longest running troupe The Kitten Club and led the troupe to many successes including two West End shows, long residencies at Volupte and Madame JoJo's and also regular musings on the airwaves of BBC London.
Jillian’s well respected career has put her in the some key roles of the London scene including Entertainment Manager and booker for Volupte from 2010 – 2014, as well as sitting as one of the judges for the London Cabaret Awards 2013. Performance wise, as Delores Deluxe, she has been working extensively on the cabaret and variety scene as a compere and singer as well as a soloist with her signature comedy magic tricks. Jillian is currently resident compere and booker for burlesque supperclub Privee of Knightsbridge and also the Creative Programmer ofEntertainment for Hippodrome LIVE at the iconic Hippodrome Casino. Otherwise, she can generally be found enjoying gin, coveting shoes and looking at cat videos online.
2017 Heat Guest Judges
Each month we invite a guest star from the world of burlesque to be a guest judge. These glamorous guests are either a well-respected burlesque star or top producer putting on shows in the field - often both! Previous judges have included Miss Polly Rae, Vicky Butterfly, Amber Topaz, Walt Utz (Evening of Burlesque, Hurly Burly), Sophia St Villier, Janet Fischietto, Lady Alex, Des O'Conner, Lolo Brow and Excess All Area's Paul L Martin.
January 2017 - Dinah Might has performed all over the world, her repertoire of acts includes elements of comedy, drama, storytelling and classic burlesque and always with a sexy playful attitude that torments and tantalizes the viewers. Originally from Vancouver, Canada she has made her home here in London. She has been invited to perform at the Burlesque Hall of Fame in Las Vegas not just once but twice! Placed 2nd runner-up in Miss Nude Canada (Canada's and possibly the world's top striptease contest), headlined Fetish Events and Sexpos, performed in Burlesque Theaters and Supper Clubs and has performed for many celebrities. Roger Taylor of the rock band Queen said, "We were dazzled rabbits in the glare of her vivacity".
March 2017 - Glory Pearl Trained in theatre, classical and modern dance, static trapeze, cereceau, tissu, burlesque and pole dance. Miss Pearl is a diverse performer whose acts draw on her extensive training in exotic dance, circus acrobatics and the performing arts. She has trained with some of the best in the business and continues to dazzle and delight audiences across the UK and abroad.
May 2017 - Ooh La Lou one of the original Hurly Burly girls & founding member of the Folly Mixtures. She has toured the UK, Europe & beyond. Director of Burlexercise Ooh La Lou has been a constant on the burlesque scene for over 10 years.
July 2017 - Trixee Sparkle A truly international showgirl, Trixee has shaked and shimmied across the globe with a three month residency in Stuttgart in 2009 where she featured prominently in the burlesque variety show Miss Evi’s Company, and as a resultwent onto perform for 3 months at the famous Wintergarten in Berlin. She has also had the honour of performing in Las Vegas as was chosen out of hundreds to perform at the yearly Burlesque Hall Of Fame 2009in the best debut category and has ripped up the stage across Europe and The US in her career to date. Trixe has featured on TV shows, documentries , and graced many a front cover and featured in press across Europe and the states.
September 2017 - Cecily Riley, fascinated with all things vintage, has undertaken the task of romancing real crimes of the 1930s. Mixed in with the investigations is the research about the way of life of the various classes of London in the 1930s as well as the wonderous world of cabaret dancers in the Soho of that time. Cecily will be launching her lasted book with us - The Chess Player.
