Our Team
The House of Burlesque concept was dreamed up by Lola Labelle who wanted a one stop shop for the very best in all things burlesque. At the beginning of 2010 she met Tempest Rose whilst they were both performing at some of London's most prestigious Cabaret Clubs and through their love of the art and many bottles of champagne House of Burlesque Ltd was born. Within a year HOB became one of the biggest Burlesque production houses in the UK receiving acclaim for their innovative and entertaining shows and classes.

In 2011 HOB decided that the UK just wasn't enough and so looked to the hugely expanding market in Australia as the perfect place to take their sell-out shows Shipwrecked! and Burlesque Idol. Miss Tempest Rose now directs House of Burlesque in the UK and Miss Lola LaBelle is making waves in Australia with their shows. The two of them still collaborate on their international projects and sip copious amounts of champagne.

Miss Tempest Rose is now ably assisted in the day to day running of the company by an assortment of divas, legends, experts, and organisational wizards.

Tempest Rose, Creative Director
Tempest Rose Photo Beginning her career as a professionally trained musical theatre and classical actress Tempest Rose discovered the wonderful world of burlesque totally by accident when she was asked to audition for the prestigious burlesque cabaret troupe The Kitten Club. Upon watching the show she was blown away by the intelligence, sensuality, humour and confidence the performers had. Here for the first time was an art form that allowed women to be sexy, powerful, satirical, playful, comedic and intelligent all at the same time and that was only limited by the performers' imagination. She joined the troupe in 2007 and has gone on to become one of the most respected and diverse Burlesque performers to date working as a burlesque artist, singer and compere internationally.

Tempest Rose's 17 years performance experience and training beginning at a young age has allowed her to become an innovative and respected burlesque choreographer, teacher and producer. Selected credits include the prestigious Burlesque Hall of Fame Weekend 2010 in Las Vegas; hosting and ensemble choreography for the sell-out show Circus Burlesque at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh Festival 2010; three West End runs with The Kitten Club; appearances on Channel 4, BBC3, ITV2, BBC Radio London, and London Fashion Week 2010; regular work at some of the UK's most prestigious cabaret and performance venues along with performing at and organising private and corporate events. Outside of burlesque she has worked as a co-ordinator for a multi-million pound corporate project, event organiser and manager. Tempest Rose strongly believes in the empowerment of women worldwide to be free to express their creativity and personality without fear, judgment or oppression.

Lola LaBelle, Founder and International Producer and Performer
Lola LaBelle Photo To some burlesque is a spectacular strip tease with dancers adorned in thousands of glittering jewels, to others it's a political statement on what being a woman means today. For the burlesque world's fastest rising star Lola LaBelle, it's both.

Lola began her burlesque career two years ago in the glamour capitol of the world Los Angeles. Her award winning performances and well-known audience affinity has made her an obvious headlining act. She has performed for crowds of over 3000 and headlined stages across Europe, the US, and Australia. It is, however, Lola's feminist ideals and commitment to empowering other women through burlesque that have helped her gain her true international support. In a world where popular culture is dominated by plastic pop stars, Lola LaBelle's naturally beautiful, intoxicatingly sensual, and deeply feminist burlesque offers more than just a breath of fresh air, it promises a revolution.

Lola founded the House of Burlesque Ltd as an outlet to introduce other women to the joyful and empowering art form that is burlesque. Determined to set the standard on quality productions, classes, and products, she created the company with a view to give burlesque a platform where other women could gain as much as she does from it.
